As part of our Global Health Volunteer Program (GHVP), you can travel to any of our project sites around the world! We welcome volunteers from all walks of life. The Country of Austria

One of the reasons I chose Austria to research was that I personally really like this country and it’s geography. Austria was founded in 1804. Austria is a German-speaking country in central Europe. It’s population is 8.474 million people. A couple of years after the country was established, an empire named Austria-Hungary was formed.  The Austro-Hungarian Empire existed from 1867 until 1918, when it collapsed as a result of defeat in World War I.
