Operating Room Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

Part of their job is to put the gowns and gloves on the surgeon and surgical assistants. Scrub surgical technologists set up a sterile operating room environment and are responsible for maintaining that field. Their chief job is to make sure the patient has the best possible care throughout the surgery.

Salary: $41,032-$49,103

Demand or Need for this profession:

Employment of surgical technologists is projected to grow 15 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations. Advances in medical technology have made surgery safer, and more operations are being done to treat a variety of illnesses and injuries.

I would not like to become one because I do not like watching people getting cut up.
