Duties and Responsibilities:
Kinesiology is a natural health care process that entails the thorough study of mechanics and anatomy of the human body. Kinesiologists specialize in the analysis of human body movement. They monitor human muscle movement to alleviate muscle ailments through the application of various healing techniques.
Salary:  $56,000
Education:
Degree programs may allow students to study towards a degree in kinesiology with options in health and exercise science, physical education and athletic training. Other universities' Departments of Kinesiology may offer Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Exercise Science or B.S. in Athletic Training programs.
Demand or Need For This Profession:
Information from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) showed that physical therapists help people of all ages to improve or regain physical mobility. Therapists use kinesiology to assess each patient and determine what type of therapy is needed, such as muscle strengthening and pain management treatments. From 2014 to 2024, the BLS predicted that open positions for physical therapists were expected to increase by 34%, much faster than the average for all occupations.
