Health Educator


Duties and Responsibilities:


Health educators teach people about behaviors that promote wellness. They develop and implement strategies to improve the health of individuals and communities. Community health workers collect data and discuss health concerns with members of specific populations or communities.
Salary: $41,830
Education:
A bachelor's degree or higher in health education, public health education or health promotion.
Demand or Need for this profession:
Employment of health educators and community health workers is projected to grow 13 percent from 2014 to 2024, faster than the average for all occupations. Growth will be driven by efforts to improve health outcomes and to reduce healthcare costs by teaching people healthy habits and behaviors and explaining how to use available health care services.

I would like to become one because i like learning new things. I would also know valuable information that can one day save my life. I also life teaching information to people. Learning something new is very important because it can help us proceed in life.

Lawyers


Duties and Responsibilities:
Represent clients in criminal and civil litigation and other legal proceedings, draw up legal documents, and manage or advise clients on legal transactions. May specialize in a single area or may practice broadly in many areas of law.

Education:
Doctoral or Professional degree.
Demand for This Profession:
Employment of lawyers is projected to grow 6 percent from 2014 to 2024, about as fast as the average for all occupations. Competition for jobs should continue to be strong because more students graduate from law school each year than there are jobs available.

I would like to become a lawyer because I’m interested in the Criminal Justice System. I also like the amount of money lawyers make. I also enjoy this profession because all the new people i could meet and socialize with them.

Physician

Physicians

Duties and Responsibilities:
Physicians and surgeons diagnose and treat injuries or illnesses. Physicians examine patients; take medical histories; prescribe medications; and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests. They often counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare.
Salary: $190,530
Education:
Doctoral or Professional Degree.
Demand for this particular Career:
Total physician demand is projected to grow by up to 17 percent, with population aging/growth accounting for the majority. Full implementation of the Affordable Care Act accounts for about 2 percent of the projected growth in demand.

I would like to be one because i like to amount if money they make plus i would be a doctor. I also like the career pathway.

Emergency Medical
Technician


Duties and responsibilities:
EMTs are clinicians, trained to respond quickly to emergency situations regarding medical issues, traumatic injuries and accident scenes. Under the British system and those that are influenced by it, they are referred to as ambulance technicians (often shortened to techs), while in the American system and its influenced countries, they are referred to as emergency medical technicians.
Salary: $51,374
Education:
The National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) is the certifying agency for EMTs and paramedics. Once you complete EMT certification training, you'll be required to pass written and practical exams. NREMT certifies emergency medical professionals at different levels: EMT, AEMT (Advanced) and Paramedic.
Demand or Need for this profession:
Employment of emergency medical technicians(EMTs) and paramedics is projected to grow 24 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations. Emergencies, such as car crashes, natural disasters, and acts of violence, will continue to create demand for EMTs and paramedics.

Ear Nose Throat Doctor
Duties and responsibilities:
Ear, nose, and throat specialists, also known as otolaryngologists or ENT specialists, are medical doctors responsible for surgical and medical treatment of the ears, nose, and throat, as well as the related head and neck areas. Specialized skills of otolaryngologists include managing disorders of the upper pharynx and oral cavity, larynx (voice box), ears, nose and nasal passage, and face and neck. Almost all ENT specialists regularly handle cases like nosebleeds, adenoidectomies, infected mastoids, tonsillectomies, and sinusitis.
Salary:$369,790
Education:
Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist Education, Training and Certification. ENT physicians must complete about 15 years of education and training, including a 4-year undergraduate program, 4-year medical program, at least 5 years of specialty training and a 1- to 2-year residency program (e.g., General Surgery).

I would like to become one because i like the money they make and i some what like to profession. I also wouldn’t like to becomes one because i don't like touching other people in that manner.

Dental Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities:
Dental assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties, and often work chair-side as dentists examine and treat patients. They make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair, prepare them for treatment, and obtain their dental records.
Salary: $34,500
Education:
It takes a relatively short period of time to become a dental assistant. Dental assistants receive their formal education through academic programs at community colleges, vocational schools, technical institutes, universities or dental schools. Graduates of these programs usually receive certificates. Although the majority of academic dental assisting programs take nine to eleven months to complete, some schools offer accelerated training, part-time education programs or training via distance education.
Demand for this profession:
Employment of dental assistants is projected to grow 18 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations. Ongoing research linking oral health and general health will likely continue to increase the demand for preventive dental services.

I would not like to become one because i don’t like going to the dentist office let alone work in one. I also would like to make a bit more money annually than that.
